Students are divided into 3 basic ensemble groups, depending on their age and skill level.
Ensemble 1
This group is comprised of high school students with more advanced playing capabilities.
Ensemble 2
Ensemble 2 is made up of intermediate students in middle school and early high school. Students start playing more advanced pieces and begin to hone their skills in site-reading and improvisation.
Ensemble 3
This group is for young students who are either new to music or have just taken an interest in percussion. Ensemble 3 students learn the basics of reading music, begin to develop their technique, and are introduced to many diverse percussion instruments. Anything can be a percussion instrument – even balloons and trash cans!
